So, I received some mail about the bump music I used to use when I was broadcasting on WECK. I’ve put together a decent list of tunes I frequently used here with links to youtube for your listening pleasure. It’s not comprehensive, but it’s a good chunk of what I played. I am very particular about music in life in general, and each one of these was chosen for a reason.
I suppose I can be a dick about music. I actually had a personal folder of bump music on WGR and was not happy when producers would play tracks often used on other shows. (Not that I was mean to anyone on the wheels of steel, but you get the picture.)
The ones I’ve listed that don’t have links is because I either pulled them from a source not available on the internet or I had a specific deal with the person that created it.
Anyhoo, enjoy some good tunes.

I’ve also shared show closes here. The first tunes listed are the way I ended every show and had a lot of people asking me who performed the last track. It’s from a Michael Mann film starring James Caan called “Theif” and you should watch it if you get a chance. The whole soundtrack was done by Tangerine Dream, but they left recording studios in Toronto, CA early and Mann needed music for the final scene of the movie. Safan filled in and does a pretty good imitation of TD, and it’s by far the best track on the album.
